Robbie’s Electric Performance
October 21st, 2009
Robbie Williams’ headlining performance at the BBC’s Electric Proms was really something to behold last night. It’s a relief to know the troubled singer’s back on form after his shaky X Factor performance. When he sang Bodies on the first live show a couple of weeks ago he pretty much shouted his way through the performance and looked extremely over-excited afterwards. His eyes were practically popping out of his head as he spoke to Dermot – we all feared the worst for the Robster after this strange behaviour. But fear not fans, he is well and truly back to the cheeky chappy we all know and love. Catch the gig on BBC iPlayer now – it’s an impressive comeback and features songs from the new album ‘Reality Killed the Video Star’. He chats away to the audience in typical fashion, and recounts meeting up with the Take That boys after years of bitterness. Having put it all behind him, the former boybander sang No Regrets and hailed a massive cheer from the audience as he ended the song with a more positive lyric: “I guess the love we once had is officially…ALIVE!”
The BBC Electric Proms continues on BBC2 with Dizzee Rascal tonight from 11.20pm.
