These online productions keep coming in thick and fast! Now our favourite soap EastEnders is launching an online exclusive. E20 will be an internet-only spin-off to the show, aimed at the younger viewers. Producers are making 13 episodes to broadcast on the soap’s website three times a week, just after the main show has transmitted on BBC One. The scripts will be written by the winners of a writing competition looking for talented Londoners aged 17-22. Kicking off in January, to celebrate the programme’s 25th anniversary, E20 aims to show us the trials and tribulations of the background faces in Walford and how they view the main characters as they cross paths in their everyday lives. So Bianca running around Albert Square with four kids in tow is probably nothing to Pat or Ricky, but does she get tongues wagging amongst the other residents of Walford? It’ll be interesting to see what outsiders make of all the drama in the Square.
