All Doctor Whos Reunite for 50th Anniversary
Doctor Who is to celebrate its 50th anniversary with all the 11 Time Lords reuniting for audio adventure ‘The Light at the End’. Written by Nicholas Briggs, the story will feature Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann. Matt Baker, David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston are to be involved in some manner too, and there are signs that the late Doctors William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee will also make an appearance somehow. The wonders of audio!
But it’s not just the the Doctors that will be returning. Original companions Louise Jameson (who played Leela in Tom Baker’s era), Sarah Sutton (Nyssa), Nicola Bryant (Peri), Sophie Aldred (Ace), and BBC Radio’s India Fisher (Charley Pollard) will all reprise their roles too. To top things off, Geoffrey Beevers will also voice The Master once again.
The 100-minute audio story is released as a two-disc set in November – exactly 50 years after the Doctor’s first BBC TV outing. There will also be a five-disc deluxe set available, featuring two documentaries and a further adventure – The Revenants – starring William Russell.
