Aretha for American Idol?!
Since J-Lo and Steven Tyler quit American Idol, the showbiz world has gone into overdrive with speculation about who could be replacing them on the judging panel. Allegedly, soul legend Aretha Franklin has expressed an interest in taking part in the next series. She is rumoured to have responded to an email from news channel CNN saying ‘yes I am interested’. R.e.s.p.e.c.t. to that, Aretha! Other names being bantered about as possible judges include AI runner-up Adam Lambert and diva Mariah Carey (again). Will any of them be able to create the same kind of Lopez/Tyler/Jackson chemistry of the last two series? And if Randy Jackson stays does this make him the Louis Walsh of American Idol?
