Watch the moment Sacha Baron Cohen spills ash all over American TV presenter Ryan Seacrest during last night’s Oscars. The comedian threatened to cause trouble at the awards ceremony when he announced he planned to arrive on the red carpet dressed as his latest comedy incarnation, General Aladeen. Producers at the Academy Awards initially wanted to ban him this year, as they regarded the move as free promotion for his latest film, The Dictator. But, after being allowed on, the troublemaker pulled his stunt…and the American Idol host was his victim. The ashes were allegedly those of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il.

All of this hilarity overshadows the fact that Hugo, a film that Sacha actually stars in, tied with The Artist to win five awards apiece last night.
