BBC HD Comes to iPlayer
For those of us that can’t quite stretch the budget out to an HD subscription on our satellite television, here’s some good news: the BBC has brought BBC HD to the iPlayer. You can now catch up on the latest BBC programmes broadcast in high definition for free on the internet! Woo hoo! I just had a look here, and the picture quality is miles better. I recommend watching Friday Night with Jonathan Ross; you get to see Hugh Jackman’s face in glorious high definition (and unfortunately Jonathan Ross’ too)! The only minor glitch is some internet connections won’t be able to cope with it, but it’s all progress. We’re slowly but surely moving towards an era where HD TV will be the norm for everyone. One day…Hugh Jackman’s face will always be in high definition…
