BBC Returns to The Thick Of It
It’s hardly surprising, after the success of Veep, that Armando Iannucci’s original political satire has been commissioned for a new series. The original cast will return, with Rogar Allam playing Peter Mannion, the new Secretary of State for the Department of Social Affairs and Citizenship. Joining him will be Peter Capaldi and Rebecca Front, reprising their BAFTA-winning roles as Director of Communications Malcolm Tucker and Rt Hon Nicola Murray MP. We can’t wait to see Nicola and Malcolm getting into a state over Coalition affairs. The Thick Of It will return to BBC Two for a seven-episode fourth series this autumn.
