Boris Gets Stuck on Olympic Zipwire
In an effort to make this go viral, I simply had to post this video of London’s Mayor, Boris Johnson, dangling in mid-air with a harness and helmet on – whilst feebly waving a couple of Union Jacks in either hand. Priceless. This is the image you want to see when London is the focus of world attention during the London 2012 Olympics. The bumbling Mayor took to the 320m zipwire to promote the attraction at BT London Live – an outdoor event taking place at Victoria Park as part of the Olympic celebrations. Boris made it down 300m of the zipwire, but then managed to get stuck and was left dangling awkwardly for five full minutes while the technical crew scrambled to get him down. Thankfully, ITV’s London Tonight captured the whole thing for us:
