Our Christmas Polls page reveals Ant & Dec are the celebrities most TVGuide.co.uk users would invite to Christmas dinner. 30% of respondents chose the Geordie duo as the celebrities they prefer to join them for turkey. Russell Brand was up there with 20% – he wouldn’t be short of an anecdote or two during conversation at the table. Poor old Jonathan Ross came in last with only 4.5% of votes. It just goes to show – you’re only as popular as your last chat show.
Our Most Dramatic Soap Storyline poll revealed a whopping 62% of soap fans believe EastEnders will be the most shocking this festive season, with Coronation Street coming in second (27%). Hollyoaks got 8% and Emmerdale trailed with a measly 1.5%.
Our polls also show there are a fair few monarchists amongst you, as 46% said they will be watching the Queen’s speech on Christmas Day. Only 30% will watch Channel 4’s alternative, leaving 24% opting for Louie Spence’s broadcast.
Finally, a definitive 63% of voters believe the BBC will win the Christmas ratings battle, compared to just 21% for ITV1. Channel five gained a grand 0% of votes! You can still vote on all our polls here.
