Girls Aloud and Reunited

Girls Aloud celebrate tenth anniversary with Royal Variety PerformanceFresh from the news that the Spice Girls are *probably* performing at the Olympics Closing Ceremony, Girls Aloud have announced details of their tenth anniversary celebrations. The UK’s other most-successful girlband are officially reuniting to perform at this year’s Royal Variety Performance, on November 19th. The event is the Queen’s last official Diamond Jubilee engagement for the year. It will be the second time the girls have rubbed shoulders with royalty, after their first appearance at the annual event in 2004. Funnily enough, Girls Aloud will be celebrating their tenth anniversary as the Royal Variety celebrates its 100th year. Beat that, girls! (Maybe not, visions of fake tan and wrinkles, not good). As well as a medley of songs on the night, the group will also star in a 75-minute documentary entitled ’10 Years of Girls Aloud’, which is expected to air on ITV1 straight after the X Factor results on December 2nd.
