ITV Clocks Up BAFTA Wins

Celebrity Juice wins BAFTAIt was a big night for ITV last night, as they clocked up multiple awards at the British Academy Television Awards. Coronation Street was named Best Continuing Drama, whilst Fred West drama Appropriate Adult gained Dominic West the Best Actor gong, Emily Watson the Best Actress award and Monica Dolan Best Supporting Actress. Celebrity Juice added to the broadcaster’s trophies, with the Youtube Audience Award. The BBC also celebrated, as Sherlock’s Andrew Scott earned himself Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Moriarty. Graham Norton won Best Entertainment Performance and Jennifer Saunders proved she’s still Ab Fab, winning Best Female Comedy Performance. Surprise winners included Mrs Brown’s Boys in the category of Best Situation Comedy and Scandinavian detective series Borgen for Best International Programme. Channel 4 didn’t go away empty-handed either; This is England ’88 won Best Miniseries and Derren Brown: The Experiments was named Best Entertainment Programme.
