London Legacy Launches
A sports channel dedicated to niche sports made popular after the Olympics is to launch on Sky. The Highflyer Group, who recently lost the rights to produce Channel 4 Racing, is going back into production with a channel called London Legacy. Launching on Sky within the next three months, the 24-hour channel will be dedicated to the niche sports that have gained a new audience after London 2012. Track cycling, gymnastics, judo, athletics, wrestling, handball and fencing will all get air time, with coverage of live events and masterclasses offered to viewers that want to participate. The London 2012 Olympics continues to fulfill its aim to inspire a generation.
