Matthew Perry Returns to Comedy
Matthew Perry is making another attempt at prime-time success with his new comedy drama Go On. The Friends star plays a radio show host who is forced into group therapy after the sudden death of his wife. It’s one of those series that tries to do both comedy and tear-jerking drama in half-hour episodes. America will see if the show is a success or not when it airs on NBC this September. We will have to wait a bit longer, as it hasn’t been picked up in the UK yet – which is hardly surprising because Matthew’s last sitcom, Mr Sunshine, was axed in the US after one series. Matthew has hinted that his Friends co-stars may make cameos in later episodes of Go On – make it happen!! Can Chandler, I mean Matthew, finally break the Friends curse and find small-screen success with something else? Judge for yourself with the trailer below:
