Mrs Brown’s Boys Film Coming
Following on from its BAFTA win for Best Situation Comedy, Mrs Brown’s Boys is set to grace the big screen. Hurrah for cult comedy! Creator Brendan O’Carroll has confirmed he is working on a script – whilst spending the budget drinking Guinness with his boys. Probably. The comedy series – which famously features Brendan cross-dressing in the lead role of Mrs Brown – includes many of Brendan’s real-life family members in the cast. The show graduated from Irish radio to a six-episode TV series on BBC One last year. Following much critical acclaim, a second series was shown earlier this year. A third one is now planned for late 2012.
