Paddington Bear: The Movie!
Our favourite marmalade sandwich-eating, duffle coat-wearing teddy bear is coming to the big screen. As the poster promises, the film Paddington Bear: The Movie will be released nationwide in 2014. It features a computer-generated Paddington mixed in with a live-action environment. The story of Paddington bear being adopted by Mr and Mrs Brown after being found at Paddington station has enthralled children across the decades. It began as a book penned by Michael Bond in 1958 and has since spawned other novels and several television series – the most recent being The Adventures of Paddington Bear in the 1990s. The project has some promising industry names attached to it. David Heyman, producer of the Harry Potter films, is producing the film alongside French company StudioCanal. The Mighty Boosh director Paul King is also on board, as well as Mr Bean writer Hamish McColl.
