Paralympic Dramas
The London Paralympics 2012 have been nothing short of inspiring. The nation has rallied round to support our best Team GB yet. But the games have also had their moments of controversy. Yesterday, the Chancellor of the Exchequer was booed by a crowd of over 80,000 sports fans. Their feelings towards his treatment of those on disability benefits was made clear during the medals ceremony. Then there was the moment cyclist Jody Cundy’s dreams were destroyed when he was disqualified over a wheel spin. His outburst didn’t make the Channel 4 coverage, as they went to ad break. But a nosy spectator managed to film it on their phone:
