Red Widow & The Following Trailers
Gangster drama Red Widow stars former Neighbours and now Hollywood starlet Radha Mitchell. She plays a housewife who is forced into the drugs underworld after her husband is killed by gang bosses who then threaten her and her children. The series is based on Dutch hit Penoza, and also stars Brit actor Luke Goss (of Bros fame!). The trailer has a Hollywood thriller feel to it; Radha has certainly come a long way since playing Cathy on Ramsay Street! Red Widow comes to US broadcaster ABC late 2012/early 2013, and will hopefully reach our shores soon after:
Speaking of TV dramas that have a Hollywood thriller feel to them, Fox has introduced its new detective show The Following. It stars Kevin Bacon as an FBI agent who becomes embroiled in a network of killers when a diabolical serial killer, played by James Purefoy, engineers a sequence of murders. Also slated for late 2012/early 2013. UPDATE!! The series is confirmed for Sky Atlantic in early 2013:
