BBC Drama is set to revamp Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Musketeers. In keeping with the original novel, the 10-part series – simply titled The Musketeers – will be set in the 17th century and will follow the three brothers as they protect King and country. The hour-long episodes are set to air on BBC One some time in 2014. After several film versions, this will be the first time the brothers in arms grace the small screen since the 1960s cartoon series.
