The Walking Dead

Ever heard of the term ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’? Well, clearly The Walking Dead director Frank Darabont isn’t familiar with the expression. He has decided, after an immensely successful first season, to sack the whole team of writers! Apparently, he may opt for a team of freelancers for the second season. This is worrying news, considering the main reason the show has done so well is because of its strong plotlines. Every episode of the first series throws up a new and unforeseen drama – all totally engaging. The show has been a smash on both sides of the Atlantic, so it comes as a surprise that the director would want to change anything when everything is running so smoothly. Fans can only hope this is a change for the better, as we await news of the next season (expected to start in October) and what further turmoil Rick and the team have to endure.
