X Factor Battle Set for August!
It looks like last year’s X Factor finalists are going into a chart battle next month. Winners Little Mix will release their debut single at the same time as Amelia Lily’s debut and Aiden Grimshaw’s second release. ‘Curtain Call’ is Aiden’s follow-up to ‘Is This Love‘. Far from his intense performances on the show, the song is a laid-back mid-tempo number. It’s due for release on August 12th. Hot on his heels will be the series winners Little Mix with their infectious ladies’ anthem ‘Wings’, released August 19th. Last in the ring is Amelia Lily, who initially didn’t make the final 10 acts but was voted back in and went on to place third in the series. She releases a Kelly Clarkson-esque track called ‘You Bring Me Joy’ on August 26th. So who will win? Listen to all three track below. Our money is on Wings. It’s ridiculously catchy and shows off the girls’ strong vocal harmonies. Amelia’s track is just not strong enough to top the charts and, although Aiden has the casual summer tune down pat, it’s doubtful it’ll be able to hold strong against the winner’s release:
