N-Dubz' Tulisa to judge X Factor UK
As Cheryl Cole locks herself away to lick her wounds, Simon Cowell must be rubbing his hands in glee. His return to the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals last night put the show back on top of the ratings. What’s more – despite his absence – X Factor UK is still dominating headlines, as people get their knickers in a twist about the new judging lineup.
ITV has announced that Cheryl will not be returning to the British show. Instead, the new judges joining Louis Walsh are confirmed as Kelly Rowland, N-Dubz’s Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow. And the world goes mental. I’ve raised my concerns about Tulisa and my support for Kelly before. Hopefully, Tulisa’s rough will be toned down by Kelly’s smooth. And as for Gary…he’ll be a busy man, what with being in the middle of a record-breaking tour and all! I’m not sure how he’ll make time to mentor his acts, but he is apparently taking over Simon’s role as head judge. Kudos goes to Simon, who manages to pull something headline-worthy out of the bag for every series! If anyone was betting on X Factor being dull without Simon or Cheryl, they can think again!
