Celebrities to star in Living's Dating in the Dark
Living’s surprise hit Dating in the Dark is back later in the year. Hurrah! I have a soft spot for the cut-throat dating show, where contestants date each other in the dark and then pick a favourite to be revealed to them in the light. There was something very ‘car-crash’ about the way we watched and waited to see if the contestants would let inner-beauty rule their judgements, or whether physical appearance would put them off in the end. So when I heard it was up for a new series, I was quite excited – until I heard who would be in it. This time, celebrities will be vying for each other’s affections. Three of the contestants that will be grappling and groping their way through the dark include Ben Clark from The Apprentice (he nearly went to Sandhurst, you know), Andrew Stone from Pineapple Dance Studios and Georgina Baillie (the grand-daughter of Andrew Sachs). *Groan* Not exactly A-list. And my skin crawls at the thought of Andrew Stone getting his flirt on (think back to the Pineapple episode where he tried it on with the Cheeky Girls – barf)! But I guess we can’t expect too much. If the competitors were really famous, it would take away quite an important aspect of the programme – anonymity!
